After registering my keyboard, I downloaded the bonus playlist as an expansion pack from Exclusive Downloads. Now the playlist seems to have disappeared from the expansion packs.

Does anyone know why? Will there be a revised version? I know that the new Expansion Explorer cannot handle playlists. Is this the reason?

Hi @bbac63,

The Bonus Playlist is NOT an expansion pack, but is is just a zipped folder. Just unzip the downloaded zip file and copy the unzipped folder to the root directory of a USB stick, as described in the contained ReadMe file.

Then connect the stick to the instrument and use the Playlist display to call up the desired playlists. (Touch the box with the name of the currently loaded playlist and then navigate to User > USB1. Here go into the Bonus Playlist folder and into one of the Genre folders to see and call up the playlist for that Genre.)

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

Thanks @overover. You are right for the older keyboards and I have now found out how it works for the SX920.

On the "PSR-SX920 EXCLUSIVE DOWNLOADS" page, which contains the expansions for registered users, there is a download button called "Discover PSR-SX920 & Bonus Playlist". Inside the downloaded zip file are two files with the extension "ppf". One is called "Discover PSR-SX920.ppf". The other is the one I was looking for: "PSR-SX920_Bonus-Playlist.ppf". These can be used with the Expansion Manager. Another file has the format "ppi" which can be used for direct installation, but !!!OVERWRITES!!! existing expansions.

I could not find a zip file with the bonus playlist for the SX920 in the public download section.

Hi @bbac63,

Yes, it's quite strange that the Bonus Playlist is not linked on the German SX920 download page. It is available on the European SX920 page:

By the way, to make downloading the PSR-SX920/720 Bonus Playlist easier, I just created this new "sticky" topic:  :)

Hi Thomas,

All of the Bonus Playlists that I know of so far and that I have linked here in the forum (e.g. for Genos and SX models, including the SX920/720) are definitely NOT expansion packs that have to be installed with the YEM, but are simply zipped folders that only unzipped and copied to the USB stick.

Yamaha Bonus Playlists may also be available as versions that must be used with the YEM (.ppf or .cpf format), but I have not seen such a "playlist pack" yet.

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Thomas,

Could you please share this "expansion pack" version of the SX720 Bonus Playlist (by uploading to an online storage service such as Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login and sharing the link here)?
