Can anyone help please.
I have downloaded two expansion packs from the Yanaha Site one called Europe_cpf and the other Latin_America_cpf both for the SX920.
I loaded these files into YEM but it does not accept them and I don't understand why.

What is the exact error message?

Have you imported the instrument info file of your SX920 into YEM?

Hi Curt,

Yes, I have imported the intrument info file. I have been able to install Expansion Packs 1 and 2 from Chris's post without a problem but of course those are .ppi files. When I include the two .cpf files YEM will only save it as a .cqi file and my SX920 says it cannot load the Pack.

Hi,

Expansion packs 1&2 have PPF file for YEM and you install with PPI.
When you add CPF on YEM you can make installation files as CQI or CPI - choose CPI for this case, CQI doesn't work for sure.
Must work!

Mihai is right, try changing the file type to "*.cpi". After you click the [Save as Pack Install File] button, a "Save as ..." dialog box will open. In this dialog box, you can change the file type from "*.cqi" to "*.cpi".

A big thank you to Kurt and Mihai. I will give it a go tonight.

Hi Kurt,

I have done as suggested. I loaded the two .cpf files to YEM and then saved them as .cpi files to the USB. The SX920 keyboard is still saying This file cannot be installed to this instrument!
Where to go from here?

Richard.

Hi Richard,

Not so many ideas, but be sure that your CPF was made for SX 920.

Ultimate solutions:
Reinstall n27 file
Reinstall entire YEM.

This is all that I have in mind.

Best regards!

Hi Misu,

I re-installed the N27 file and now everything is working fine.
Once again, thank you.

Best wishes,
Richard.
