I have connected a Bose l1 to the tyros 5 , i have set the outputs as described but i am just getting crackling and distortion.
I then tried my headphones  with the same result.
I have done a factory reset but no change any ideas or is this a fault
Thank you

Hi Whitecolin11

Some more details would be useful ..Are running stereo or mono cables from the line out sockets ..if mono then you must use only the L/L+1 socket and run a single 6.5mm cable from that to the PA amp line input. Do the headphones work from the front headphones jack? Also make sure you don't have a headphone adapter or the actual headphones plugged into the front phones socket as that will mute your audio output  Could you have a quick look at the config screen and see what settings you have for line out??

They are mono leads the headphones are stereo
how to connect bose l1 to a yamaha tyros 5
To connect your Yamaha Tyros 5 to a Bose L1 speaker system, follow these steps:

Check Outputs: Press the "MIXING CONSOLE" button on your Tyros 5, then the "TAB" button to select the "LINE OUT" tab. Use the "F" button to set Line Out 3 and 4 to "Aux Out"1.

Connect Cables: Use appropriate cables to connect the Tyros 5's Main L/R outputs to the Bose L1 speaker system. If you're using a mixer, you can connect the outputs to the mixer first, then from the mixer to the Bose L12.

Adjust Volume: Use the Master Volume knob on the Tyros 5 to control the volume sent to the Bose L1. Adjust the volume on the Bose L1 as needed for optimal sound2.

The headphones are stereo same sound crackling and distortion sound which would indicate internal fault

Hi

It looks like it's completely different to my Tyros 4 ..I don't even see those instructions in the T5 Reference Manual but I do see the LINE OUT settings on page 128 of the ref manual ..On my keyboard I just go to CONFIG 2 and set option one (usually default) with button A and then use your set 3 buttons at the button to set LINE input to "ON" so you can have the headphones plugged in and you still have line out ... I don't see how connecting to AUX out will work on your Tyros 5 but on my Tyros 4 I just set the LINE out to ON (so the headphones don't kill the output) and then standard jack lead from L/L+R) to the amp input.  Sorry I can't help any more but I can't use my AUX in and out anyway cos they feed up and back from my Digitech Vocalist Live 4 so it can assign pitch keys to the unit from the keyboard. I would have thought that Yamaha would keep it the same with all Tyros keyboards. Surely your Bose has a line input???
