CVP 909:

Is it possible to have a master(different) playlist that uses the registration, ots, and style information from another playlist?  For example, I have a playlist that contains country music songs.  I would like to build another playlist to keep the name of songs that I use often, which has multi-genre entries.  Rather than duplicate all the rgt, ots and style information for the entries in both playlists, I would like to use one master playlist containing song names, and a corresponding playlist name that actually contains the rgt, ots, and style info.

A playlist is essentially just a text file with file names (including file paths) of registration banks. A registration bank can therefore appear in several playlists and you can do what you described. Assuming that a playlist works on the CVP 909 in the same way as it does on a PSR keyboard.

You can import as many enrries as you like from one playlist to another. So if you have a master playlist you can then make a new playlist and import entries from the master. You can also import any registrations you wish. This is part of the playlist functionality itself.

Thank you for your advice!

In the meantime, I have learned that by using the "List" button on the "INCLUDE HERE" playlist, then navigate to the target location of the "EXISTING SONG" playlist, and select that song's checkbox.   The data will be imported by that reference.  No need to duplicate the related data in both lists, (then hope that one doesn't get changed without the other, later on)!  It's a bit of a learning curve for this feature!

I hope other CVP user's will find this workflow helpful!
