Hi, songbook+ users.
I am some kind newby in this matter.

Is there any way I can read song lyrics in the songbook+ that I installed on my Android tablet activated by a corresponding record to that same song on Genos?
Is there any special cable needed for this purpose?
I think I should connect a USB cable to the Host port on the Genos and the other USB Type-C port on the tablet to connect, but I don't know if it will be possible that way, or how to do the thing.
I also don't want to spend money on an adapter without knowing if it's viable that way.

Thank you in advance for your help.
Cheers.

Hi Pedro,

I just found this online.

https://baumsoftware.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/17000010992-do-you-plan-a-version-for-android-and-or-windows-

Apparently it will not work with Android.

I suggest Songbook Pro instead, it is supposed to work with Android.

Good Luck,

Rick D.

My misunderstood. I didn't know that Songbook+ wasn't the same of Songbook Pro, that I have. Sorry for inconvenient.
I will try to solve this in other way, if it is somehow possible...

Cheers.

Update:
I intended to write songbookPRO, not Songbook+.
My misunderstood. Sorry 😔

Hi Pedro,

A lot of people make the same mistake.
Hopefully someone can get you in the right direction with Songbook Pro

I use Mobilesheets and am happy with it.
I have an Android tablet connected to Genos.
I can select a song/title on the tablet and the corresponding registration will appear on Genos, or vice versa.

I don't know about songbookPRO, but I assume it can do the same.

A lot of people here use Mobilesheets.

I would check it out Pedro.

Most music reader programs will allow loading a registration file automatically on Genos when loading a song sheet. The difference lays in how easy or difficult it is to create the link that is required to perform this.
Only 2 programs allow to do this at the touch of a button (see link below). In the others it has to be set up using program change midi messages and sometimes dummy midi files on the keyboard.

In case you were to go for MobileSheets, I made a guide on how to set this up (see link below)

Hi All

First of all, a big thankyou to everyone who've made it possible for the continuation of 'PSR Tutorial Forum'. It's very much appreciated.

Problem.....Tried following Rudy's instructions to connect a Registration direct to my Genos using Mobilesheets.
Double checked I did everything correctly, but for some reason or other when I reach the final instruction part on Mobilesheets, Edit / Midi Page to link the registration with M/Sheets....there isn't a 'chain icon link' showing so as to complete the link. Anyone have any ideas ??

I'm using an 'HONOR' tablet requiring an adaptor to link to Genos.

Thanks
Gordon

Hi Gordon,

One of the most important points is that in the MIDI settings of MobileSheets under "MIDI Device" the item "Genos, PSR-SX Models" is selected. Have you made sure of this?

Best regards,
Chris

Thanks Chris for the reply.

Yes, Mobilesheets Midi Device is set correctly to Genos PSR-SX Models.

I've followed Rudy's instructions through, even replaced both USB cable and adaptor cables....strange.

I've also left a post on Mobilesheets forum.

Thanks again
Gordon

Thanks for your feedback, Gordon!

It's a shame that it still doesn't work. From experience, I know that it's often just a matter of small things.

It's very important that Receive and Transmit of System Exclusive Messages are turned on on the keyboard. The easiest way to do this is to activate one of the preset MIDI templates "All Parts" or "KBD & Style".

Have you made sure that MIDI transmission via USB works on your Honor tablet? You may need to set this in the "Developer Options" first. (To display this menu item for the first time, you need to tap "Build Number" about 7 times under "Settings > About Phone".)

Thanks again Chris,

Midi System is set to 'All Parts' and in Honor settings, USB Configuration is set to 'Midi'.

It seems reading your attached 'Links' that there have been problems with usb connections with the tablet, although some of it goes over my head.

I appreciate your help

Hi Gordon,

On my previous smartphone (Honor View 10), a pop-up message appeared when establishing the USB connection. Here you had to select "MIDI" again for it to work. Did you pay attention to whether such a message might appear?

Chris
