as shown in picture below

so plz what is the problem??

Hello,

Perhaps you should reduce the pack a little by deleting voices that might be duplicates to start with and redo the pack?

If that's not enough, remove the style(s) that would be the least used and that have similarities with the internal styles, all step by step ...

Keep us posted on your approach and how much your pack makes if it works ...

Hello
Thanks for your reply
I reduced the pack to 200 mb but the same problem
I can't do expansion any more
I update the program to latest version and the same problem
I don't know how to fix that

Maybe the USB stick is defective. I would try a different stick.

Was the pack prepared with device no. 27?

Are the contents protected and intended for your keyboard model?

Can it be put on a USB key?

As Kurt says, change the key ... and format it on the keyboard.

I face the same problem.
In YEM, once the installation file is generated the bar turns from green to gray.
To turn it back to green, I Need to randomly select/deselect packs and voices...sometimes It takes a lot of time.
Does anybody know if this is a known bug or the root cause of this?
thanks

As I understand this bar graph, there is no bug here.

It seems to mean the following:

The gray area symbolizes the expansion memory that would be used if the last created installer file is actually installed.

The green area symbolizes the additional memory that would be used if the currently selected packages were installed using a pqi package.

pqi installs always seem to just use additional memory or reuse already installed data, but do not free memory. Only ppi installs seem to free memory.

So if you want to minimize the gray bar, you can create a minimal ppi installer package.

Hi thank you for your reply
I create cpi file which belong to my keyboard and file info and save it to desktop
So no role for usb stick
I think it is YEM bug

The answers are Yes
Except usb key

If you only save the cpi file to the desktop and don't copy it to a USB memory stick, how do you install the cpi file on your instrument?

As I described before: The fact that the bar turns grey is not a bug. It's not a bug, it's a feature.

I save it to USB and the error attached above
I try to install another previous pack and it is OK
So if this a feature which indicate something wrong in my wave files or packs
How to solve it please because now I can't create any cpi or ppi file

KurtAgain

The grey or green bar does not indicate errors, but only an estimate of the available expansion memory of your instrument.

If the USB memory stick is not faulty, the data imported into YEM may be corrupt. Reinstalling YEM and re-importing all data into YEM may help.

Yup, Kurt beat me to it: I've had this error; yes the bar is supposed to turn grey now to show how much space you've used (and have left) in your expansion area; however when paired with being unable to install the packs (or indeed, installation is successful, but most of the samples are missing, so the file ends up being less than 1GB for what shouldbe a 4gb install file), it means one or more packs are corrupt in YEM. I tried removing 1 at a time until it finally installed properly (it took removing most of the packs).

So the only solution I found was remove almost all of my expansion packs in YEM and then start again. But it might've been quicker for me to erase everything and reinstall 1 at a time.

Oh 1 more thing, check that your hard drive space isn't low: most versions of Windows use the hard drives as ram swap space, and very bad things happen if it's low or 0. Including corrupting your YEM.

Most of the time the problem 'Failed to access data' lies with the USB drive.
The stick works fine on a PC and there is no problem when copying files to the keyboard, but it fails when installing Expansion packs.

Try a different make USB drive and use the keyboard to format the stick.

Also,
- it is adviced to use the ".cpi" format.
- when there is a problem in YEM it will not create a pack.

Can you explain why? Have you had problems with the other formats (ppi, pqi, cqi)?
