Thanks for reintroducing the forum! This is my first post here and I hope for some help on this topic:
Some years ago I traded my Technics KN7000 in for a Genos. I am satisfied with Genos but miss a function which the KN7000 had, at least I have not found this function in Genos yet. In KN7 I could use the harmony function to add the voice of Right 2 as the contra voice of Right 1 in the melody which then varied with the accompaniment chord. Ik hope you understand what I mean because I do not know if the word contra voice is correct.
To make it more clear I give an example: I choose a piano in R1 and a stringensemble in R2. For the righthand melody I choose only R1 and want to hear R2 as a contra melody by the harmony function. I user manual and reference manual are not clear about this. Maybe someone can help me?

Hello,

With Direct Access plus pressing "Harmony/Arpeggio" next to the Sustain button, you open access to the settings for these 2 main functions ... choose Harmony,

Click on the cogwheel to access the additional settings for the chosen function, and you'll find what you're looking for ... perhaps with the "Multi" function ... try it out!

Thanks for responding Patrick. I already tried this before but I cannot find a way to adjust in such a way that I hear  only R1 in the main melody and R2 (or R3) only in the contra melody.
The cogwheel shows the detail display in which you can assign the voice part for harmony. It would be nice if only the contra melody of Right 2 is heard when the Right 2 is choosen in the detail assign display and the voice select part Right 2 is off. Now only the total harmonised voice can be heard if voice select part Right 2 is on. I now assume that it is not possible. Please correct me if I am wrong. This was possible in the earlier KN7000 and was a nice feature.
Any other ideas?

Hello,

I've just tried this on the keyboard and I've got two distinct sounds, one of which is harmonized with my setting, whatever the 2 sounds chosen "1-2,2-3,1-3", making sure that the 3 sounds are on the same split...

Try this:
Volume => 1oo
Harmony => Standart Duet 1
Assign => Multi
(Assign Multi is hardly ever programmed in the keyboard's native OTS, yet it's one of the settings I use most often).

And in specific cases, harmonized notes dynamics controlled/heard above a velocity of 105
Minimum Velocity => 105/115 (as desired/balanced)

Thanks again Patrick, I followed your instruction and it looks like I have to assign Multi and also select the voice part to get what I want. I also found that this does not work for Standard Duet 2 and also not for Country Duet 2. I do not know why and find it all complicated. The manuals are not very clear on this point.
I wiil go on investigating.
