How much load?

I'm just wondering, how much load I can put on the music rest of my Genos2.
So far, I have been using my tablet to read MobileSheets.
The weight of my 12.3-inch tablet is around 800 grams, but now I am considering
to buy a new tablet in range of 15-16 inch. Consequently, the weight of the new
(OLED?) tablet would be much higher, let's say around 1.5 to 2 kg.
What do you guys think, can the music rest handle such a weight, the manual does
not say...

Because the rest is fairly vertical it is not taking that much load. How much more can it take - just stick a book or two behind the current tablet to test the extra weight and you will know.

Thank's Mike

and when it breaks... it's my fault  ;D ;D ;D

Seriously though, when I am at home, I can put some support behind the screen, and it's OK, but during the gigs, there is no room for support.

The big fake books are probably heavier than the tablet. People use them all the time. Put your hand behind the tablet and you can feel how little load it's passing to the rest. Most of the weight at such an acute angle is going vertically thru the base.
But if you are worried, you could use a separate free standing music stand. There is a huge choice of robust stands from about $20.
