mirror Genos 2 to a Surface Pro 9

I'm trying to mirror the screen on my Genos 2 to my MS Surface Pro 9 using a HDMI cable into the Genos and a HDMI to USB C adapter into the Surface Pro. I've also tried just a HDMI/ USB C cable with no adapter. In both cases it doesn't work? Using just a HDMI cable from the Genos 2 to my desktop monitor works fine so I'm assuming the issue is with the Surface Pro 9 and not the Genos 2 or cable nor adapter? The Surface Pro 9 uses ARM architecture but the Best Buy geeks say that isn't the problem. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Daryl

What I do is---- No need to mirror if laptop has HDMI socket
A Zen Flip has one and is worth £1,300. Total class.
You cannot take It with you as Eileen used to say.
Hope Eileen is forever happy in heaven.

Get a 21 inch computer monitor.
Run a hdmi lead from Laptop to Monitor
Works a treat and also can run mobile sheets from laptop to monitor
for music reading. Nice A4 size.

I have a Zen flip laptop (Win 11) and it also comes in handy using a VPN to watch UK division 2 matches Swindon Town
for all 46 home and away matches for £140, VPN £70. What a steal. ( VPN protects your IP Address no leaks Express or Nord).
Also you can download free movies and TV series for free using the VPN. Sssshhhch!! Football and films  are 100% total Quality on my 50inch Samsung tv
Just needs a hdmi from laptop to TV or monitor.
Sky is the limit ;D  :o  ;D
Genos 2     AMD RYZEN  9 7900  12 Core Processor 32 ram,   Focusrite Scarlet 4i4 4th Gen.

I appreciate the response however, the Surface Pro is a tablet, I don't have a laptop. I shouldn't have used the word "mirror" as that suggests I was trying wireless or multi-cast connecting and I wasn't. My Surface Pro only has USB-C ports which is why I've tried using a HDMI cable with HDMI connection on one end for the Genos and USB-C on the other end for the Surface tablet. That doesn't work. As I mentioned, the HDMI cable works fine when connecting it from the Genos to my desktop monitor so It's not a defective cable and the Genos is sending a signal through the HDMI cable. It has to be an issue with the Surface Pro, but at this point I have no idea. The Surface Pro 9 is new and it should work?

You actually want to use your Surface Pro as a monitor. That's not possible.

From Microsoft:

The essential statement in the linked page:

Quotecan i use the surface pro as a second monitor?

The Surface Pro's USB transfer protocol does not support the device accepting video signals as input, they are only capable of outputting video signals.

I would urge anyone to get a ASUS Zen flip £1,300 or slightly cheaper .
High res screen and HDMI socket

1 This allows you to use big screen monitor tv in hi-res for music reading A4 .
2 Great for loads of things as mentioned above.Great for streaming and is fast.
I also have my music collection on it and it blue tooth's to my Marshall kilburn self active mobile speaker.   Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login
The Zen is metal casing and bomb proof and is a fantastic  piece of equipment :D
