Hi --

I collected chord progressions from a bunch of public sources and created Chord Looper Banks. Most of the progressions are generic, simple, and skew modern. However, you'll find a few Classics like the Coltrane and "Rhythm" changes.

They are free and you'll find the download link on this page:

https://sandsoftwaresound.net/chord-progressions-for-yamaha-chord-looper/

Since this is a brand new effort, please report any issues here.

Have fun -- pj

P.S. For total nerds, the ZIP file contains the Java source code for the program that translates a ChordPro text file to Chord Looper Data (CLD) file format.

I haven't used chord looper yet. Now you got me interested.

Can you remind me where to load the files into my Genos please

Genos Reference Manual, pages 13 through 18.

Touch the big rectangle at the top of the Chord Looper screen in order to load a Chord Looper Bank (CLB).

Touch the Import button to import a new Chord Looper Data (CLD) file into a CLB.

Hope this helps -- pj

Hope you are enjoying the Chord Looper Banks!

Yamaha Japan have finally posted the PSR-E383 Data List PDF. (In Japanese!) Here is a list of the PSR-E383 chord progressions. You'll find most of these in the collection.

OK, I found it on my hard drive.  It looks like I can create text files for chord progressions.

Questions:
Is there a user manual for the Chord Looper Editor?

Is there a way (a program) to play the chord progressions on a PSR S970?

I found these old threads:

and Youtube video: https://youtu.be/VyMWVMtEw2U

The original developer of the Chord Looper PC program hasn't posted since 2021...

Take care -- pj
