I have been converting the G2 styles to work in my old trusty S950, no problem at all.

I don't use or even look at some of these categories for the most part. I have converted about 200 of the G2 styles and wondering at this point how many are really new styles.

I am currently finishing up the 38 new named Retro Pop G2 styles and I am finding a bunch of reworked but same old cover styles.

Examples:
Happy Reggae is now Light Reggae
Power Ballad is now Piano Power Ballad
EP Ballad is now 80sUpliftingBallad

Yes, the intros and endings are a little bit different but if you are really playing the song, you are going to be doing your own intro and ending.

I just thought Yamaha was bustin' their $%& and was really offering a lot of new style material with the G2 but this is not the case.

I still need that new SX model keyboard to come out Mid 2024. My wallet is over flowing.  8)

These styles sound excellent on my Tyros4. Out of curiosity did you do the same with the styles from Genos1?

DrakeM

Yes, I did convert a few categories from the Genos keyboard. To those that I converted, I got the drums to sound and work correctly in my S950 keyboard. However, I did not setup all the OTS settings in the styles. I did not replace missing voice parts in the MAINS if the keyboard found a suitable voice on its own. I did not share these styles as they were not completely finished as I use them strictly for parts. Parts that I use to assemble my custom song styles.

I have converted the 50 add on styles which are known as the "SUPERIOR 2.0" style pack made for the Genos by Yamaha. I will begin sharing and posting them on YouTube later this this week. These 50 I have completely setup and work perfect in my PSR-S950 as best as I am able.

Thanks I would be interested to know the process you use to revoice the styles so they work in your psr s950
