Hello everyone, I am writing this post because I had an s975, but for extra personal reasons I sold it and bought an s770 (the truth is that the s770, s775, s970 and s975 lines are very scarce and very expensive in my country, even second class) and well, but before selling the s975 I uncovered it and took some photos to get to know it and have details, when I bought the s770 I realized that it does not have the same sound as the s975, although the speakers of the s975 are more powerful and It is true that there are many things that I have not yet adjusted, but I have been reviewing the photos and I have been seeing that they are practically the same connections, (I know that the s970 and s975 have more sampler memory,
*512 and 768,

also has

*VGA video output,

as well as *voice harmony 2,

*audio styles

and therefore the case brings the option of more styles and other news) so by bringing the same connections my question and if anyone knows, can I put the dm of the s975 in the s7 70?
I enclose photos of the keyboards with their respective plates, as I said in the topic it is crazy but I want to know if it is possible, and if any of you know where I can get the plate. Thanks.

And the other thing is that I need the USB interface of a Yamaha MG206c-USB console since it was burned for the recordings, I attach a photo and thanks again.

I would not expect this to work. There are hardware differences between the S975 and S770 series beyond a single board,

Hello, thank you for your answer, I am writing this post because in the years that Yamaha has been releasing PSR models and in which it has been possible to change its DM card or main board and there has been no problem, it was only in some previous models, it could be change the DM without any problem because everything else worked for him, screen, connectors, keys, buttons etc, the only option that did not work for him was the microphone, I'm talking exactly about the PSR line:
PSR-1000 | PSR-2000
PSR-1100 | PSR-2100, I attach photos of a PSR-2000 keyboard, with a PSR-1000 card and there was no problem, I did it myself and it was perfect, that's why I posted this post and seeing that here were 4 references, mostly the same for to be able to receive the DM and I see the same with the reference S770, S775, S970 and S975 I see the same casing that in the physical thing the only thing that changes is the VGA video output; and with the Yamaha PSR line if we go to the other references, it is useless to do what I am commenting on, because it is incompatible, or by screen, or connectors, here I place the references:
PSR-630 | PSR-730 Cannot
PSR-640 | PSR-740 Cannot

PSR-1000 | PSR--2000 | PSR-1100 | PSR-2100 DOES IT WORK

PSR-1500 | PSR-3000 Cannot

PSR-S700 | PSR-S900 Cannot

PSR-S710 | PSR-S910 Cannot

PSR-S750 | PSR-S950 Cannot

PSR-S770 | PSR-S775 | PSR-S970 | PSR-S975 It is where I have the doubt and I hope to clear it soon, say hello.

Hello everyone, again in this post, looking at references of keyboards where the Main Board DM can be changed, there are other references such as the PSR-S500 and the PSR-S550, PSR-S550B, the latter has a (B) in Black; Black, I did this experiment changing the Main Board DM and perfect, I'll share photos or the YouTube link later, where I'm assembling it, say hello. ::) ;D ;)

Hello, I was recently able to change the plates from an s770 to an s970 and it turned out perfect, the same thing happens with the s775 and s975 plate, you can place it without any problem, only if you have an s770 or s775 you have to do 2 things, the first is place the speakers and brightness of the s970 or s975 also with the dm plate of the s970 and s975 and in the case of the s770 or s775 make the hole for the vga video output, I attach videos, thank you!!! 8) :D ;) :)

hi ektor,
Interesting project.. thank you for sharing.
I'm curious how did you managed to find S970 plates? -they're second hand, I assume. I mean, if someone has working S970, then I can't imagine he would be ready to sell plates only.

Hello bogdanh, it's not that I have a Yamaha card factory, hehehehe, what happens is that, as I said in a previous post, I have been studying Yamaha keyboards, and I have found a lot of compatibility in some of them, for example PSR-1000, PSR-1100, PSR -2000 and PSR-2100 between these you can change the DM cards without any problem, in the latter of the publication a friend has the 2 keyboards PSR-S770 and PSR-S970 and I told him that there was no problem in changing the cards now that the connectors were the same, only the VGA output that does not come with the PSR-770 card but the rest is prefect and that is where it was made and perfect, so in these 4 references PSR-S770, PSR-S775, PSR-S970 and PSR-S975 you can do the same, now I know you're not asking me and in the SX700 and SX900 series you can do the same, only that the SX900 case has a few more options such as the chord looper and the extra output uSB.

I hope I have helped you and greetings friend bogdanh ;)

hi ektor,
I have studied service manual and as you say, SX700/900 DM cards are exchangeable (which is to be expected). The problem is not how to replace them, the problem is where to find them at reasonable price.
To be worth doing the upgrade, at least two cards would be needed: main (DM) card and line out (AJK) card. I would be ready to pay about 250€ (for both), but if the price would be higher, then the investment just doesn't make sense to me.

But as I said, I have no clue where to find necessary parts and so the whole idea only is more or less academic for me :)

Greetings,
Bogdan

Nice project. I hope that someday will be possible to extract the midi files of the factory demo songs.
