Getting psr s970 to follow pre recorded chords in midi file

Hi there. I don't know if anyone knows a workaround for this but I got it working on my Tyros 2. I record the chords on Channel 4, go to the harmony settings to make the PSR/tyros trigger these chords - I want to re-record accompaniment automatically. To force this to happen on my tyross 2 I had to save the harmony settings in a registration, press record - hits the registration again to force the harmony to re enable and it processes to play by itself recording the accompaniment triggered by the chords. Maybe this was a bug on this 2? I've tried the same procedure on the s970 and can't get it to work does anybody know a way? I hope this makes sense! Matthew UK

I have found out a work around by physically plugging in a MIDI cable into the in and out sockets on the back of the PSR s970 keyboard. I changed the midi settings so channel 4 (containing chord notes) and that was received on chords section. Here is a quick video for me to explain better:
