Hmmm.. Technics 30 years old, Yamaha 24 years... specifications are irrelevant at such age (although Technics looks more advanced)... both can stop working at any time in near future (it's quite possible that they already don't work flawlessly)...
I would say neither of these two.

As for learning, there's no need for the first keyboard to be something fancy... but it should work as intended, so we can actually use it for learning how to play. I don't say it must be new, but 20+ years is a bit too much, I think.

What I'm saying is, if someone is really interested on learning how to play on keyboard, then (s)he should be ready to pay at least a minimal amount of money.
For example, new Casio CT-X700 is only 230€ and can serve for years -long enough to learn and see if keyboard playing is your future hobby.

Just my opinion,

hello, I don't know the kn2000 but I have a PSR630 which still works very well, and at my Christian assembly we have a PSR640 which also works very well.
If the price is good why not.
I definitely have a preference for Yamaha

I would pick the S940 as all keys are working for $50. If it dies after 1 year, I'm still happy.

I wouldn't buy either of them. Money down the drain.
There are plenty of fully working more modern keyboards that you could learn on. At it's most basic you want it to work properly.

As I write there are quite literally hundreds of good keyboards on Ebay and Gumtree in the UK. Many sold with stands, music, pedals etc

Why would you even want to buy an old nail of a thing that has no life left in it, will probably not work properly and is hopelessly out of date?

A more modern keyboard will encourage you to play it, and enjoy it.
