Is it normal for the Genos 2 touch screen to become quite warm after a few minutes?
Nothing like this happened in Tyros 5.

No, mine doesn't. Can hardly feel with my hands the display is warm after 20 minutes?? ::) ;)

I noticed that after about 20-30 minutes the touchscreen in the top center was warmer than the rest of the areas.
I'm wondering if Genos or Genos 2 touch screens are just like that, or if it's caused by the screen protection foil I applied.
Is there just something wrong with my Genos?

Yes, that is the same by me. I guess a little more than body-temperature, nothing to worry about.   ;)
My best regards,

It's quite normal for a color screen to be slightly warmer than your hand. Have you ever tried to put a hand on your flatscreen at home ? an OLED screen is much warmer. I can feel mine being slightly warmer than my hand at the top after some hours. Nothing I would worry about tho.

Hi newkey20,

The fact that the Genos2 touch screen is a little warmer at the edge than in the middle is probably due to the backlight being located at the edge. An additional screen protection film/foil will probably make the touch screen a little warmer than without a film, but that shouldn't be a real problem. Basically, I don't think a screen protector film is necessary and I would advise against it. The Genos2 display has a special anti-reflective coating, and of course this becomes ineffective if you put an additional film over it.

Basically, I recommend not setting the brightness of the touch screen on the Genos2 higher than necessary (in "Menu > Utility > Touch Screen/Display > Brightness > Main Display"). I usually set the value "40" here.

Best regards,
Chris
