Hi
I have been getting confused over this as I select the sound for multipad 1 which i made and put in in Style Padmaker to complete.
So now i select the multpad i want to copy and then go to edit and press copy. Nothing happens and i see my multipad in slot one highlighted .
It will not copy so that i can paste it in a slot 1 on another multipad .

Is this a bug?

All the Best

A few day ago I changed some Multipads directly via the G2 and no problems encountered. If there is a bug, maybe it is in the Padmaker (not yet updated for the G2??) or you have overlooked a step?? ;)
My best regards,

Hi Ton

If i go to a factory multipad, then go to edit , copy any one pad in the section of 4 and it will not copy.
I am assuming when i press copy it will ask me where i want to put it. (mildly)!!

All the best

I have got it Ton, but it is not like it states in the manual

I assumed when i pressed copy I would get a prompt asking where you want to put the pad.
I get it now . It is a copy to clipboard then you have to go outside of edit to find your destination. Once found you paste in the place where you want it. it's like a Pentium 4  ::)
I will have to bleach my hair or what's left of it blond ;D :P
I always wondered what the clipboard on a computer was as i could never find it!! ::)

This may help somebody else because the key word is clipboard, not a prompt.

Like everything John it is easy when you know how. I often make up what I call mix and match pads.

Hi Eileen
Hope you and family are having a great Christmas :)
It took a little while to twig as normally everything like that happens inside screens with prompts
Style magic is a great little program for changing things in a style.
The Style midi to Style Maker is superb.
Have done two styles now and they have come out fantastic in no time really
I needed to change a couple of sounds in them and that is where Style Magic does the job, also with volumes effects etc

Have a Happy New year :) :)

I always  edit the Multi pads generally. what ever number pad I am to use 2 3 or 4 I edit to the #1 pad due to I always use a full bank of reg. to one song that way as an example if using a pad in reg 2 I assign pad 1 and if I should want another Pad in reg 3 it will over wright the previous pad and I also use the pad stopper on pad 1 for the next reg 3 or what ever I need to happen in the Registration's

John ,

Do you know you can edit Multi Pads in StyleMagic.  To do this send the MP via MixMaster.  It will send the file as a MIDI file.  You can then edit in the normal way you edit a style.  When you are done and save StyleMagic will send the file back to MixMaster where you can save it as a Multi Pad.

Another way of doing this is to change the file extension from .pad to .mid a load it into StyleMagic.  When you save it back as a .mid file, just change the extension back to .pad.

I have asked Thomas to consider allowing .pad files to be loaded directly in StyleMagic.  Maybe it will be a feature in a future update of the program.
