Any recommendations on EQ settings? Or is the EQ Gold still good to use?

EileenL

I would try the on board ones first. They are very good.

My Genos2 EQ is either flat, or HS7.

My Genos(1) EQ also was flat, as was my Tyros 5.

For me, it's the best way to hear the keyboard, neutral.

Try monitoring using a vst EQ inside a daw.
You get a much better idea of things seing visually rather than just numbers. Adjust the EQ on the Genos and then go back to looking at the visual.

I think that the Gold EQ is way over the top

You are right John,
I did try it and it was bad. Genos2 EQ's as they are are very good anyway

Hi Eileen
I now use the EQ method visual method now by looking at an EQ in Cubase to determine where i need to adjust frequencies.
For people just looking at the numbers on the Genos it can be quite daunting as you adjust this and that only to keep messing it up by playing with the wrong freqency.
I did find Will Abrahm on Utube explaination also good.

All depends on your room at the end of the day.
I have what you would they call the square room of death.
