Genos2 owners: always report your complaints to Yamaha!!

As you would expect, the first batch of Genos2 has a number of teething problems.  Most dealers are waiting for the next delivery of the second batch of Genos2.  Based on the complaints, the designers are developing the most necessary adjustments and offering them in the form of updates to their customers, who actually functioned in this moment as guinea pigs. As this is common business as usual, no problem if at time all is solved (hopefully). That is why it remains important to continue to inform the manufacturer (Yamaha) directly or through your dealer about your complaints. It goes without saying that it is also good to share this with each other on the forum.

Good advice.

I feel a bit of Yamaha's pain, though. Back on the job, we would test our software product before release. No matter how hard one tries, there are always QA "escapes".  :o

If Yamaha classifies a reported issue as a bug, it will go into a bug tracker and may get scheduled for a fix if it's high enough priority.

I agree, these firmware and software driven products have such a range of functionality that it's difficult to foresee and adequately test every possible combination.
Realistically, quality control and testing on new products from good companies may be better than it ever was, but it's not easy to be perfect. Most of the issues that creep thru undetected are nuisance level rather than catastrophic, on relatively little used functions, and they typically get addressed fairly quickly. Reporting them should help this process.
