Hi
I'm using PSR-SX900, but it's the same on PSR-SX700 and maby others.
I'm not sure where Reverb should be added to Microphone.
Or to put it another way, I'm not sure which is best.

1st option.
Go to Mic setting.
Tap Effect buttom
You are now in Menu = Insertion Effect - Mic
Choose and add Reverb to the Microphone.
There are some adjustment options if you press "Detail"
After that, in the Mixer/Panel/Mic/Chorus-Reverb menu, you can set how much Reverb you want on the microphone.

2. Option
Press the Mixer button, go to Panel/Mic/Effect
Press "Assign Part Setting" and add "Mic" to an "Insertion Effect"
I select "Mic" on Effect 6
Select a Reverb type under Type
Press Close
You can now adjust the Mic Reverb volume under "Panel/Mic/Effect" instead of /Panel/Mic/Chorus-Reverb.

But what are the advantages and disadvantages of the 2 options?

Best regards
JAKIV

Hi JAKIV,

Each time when a Style or MIDI file is loaded, this can change the effect types of the Reverb and Chorus effect blocks. This will also affect the Microphone part, if you use these System effect blocks (Reverb and/or Chorus) there.

To avoid this, set Reverb and Chorus to zero for the Microphone and use a suitable Insert effect instead.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Don't forget to save your registration.
That helps in recalling the insert, reverb and chorus.
Once you have decided and set the levels, save the registration helps in comparing different effects/levels/mixes too.

Also sx900 has a bug related to mic settings. Even after choosing to remember (,memory) mic settings, That doesn't get saved and switched with registration. Only the VH harmony section saved to registration.
I wonder if they will ever fix that.
