Genos 2 owners - EQ and Compressor question

Hi, you lucky new Genos 2 owners.

Just wondered if the Genos 2 needs the EQ and compressor settings adjusted like Genos?

You of course will adjust to your own liking but there are pre-set EQ setting now to suit stage pass speakers and HS7 and 8 speakers as well.

I suppose that the Stagepass setting would be used for my DXR'8s or thereabouts but will have to be adjust slightly for my room
Have you ordered yours yet Eileen as i am waiting for the pickup call . Cannot wait to get cracking on it.
My Mixing monitors are room corrected by a program called Sonarworks.

There are two presets for EQ and Compression for Yamaha speakers. H7 and H8.
But good EQ and Compression depends on more things than just using these settings. Where to play. Large, Small room.
Is it square? carpet on the floor. Lots of windows, etc. Are these presets really useful?

I will probably run my genelec speakers on "Flat" I currently do that with my T5 and I think it is a good sound.

Just choose and experiment with the settings, then add a little this or that.
Just like an EQ on a hi-fi, in the 60's and 70's, just adjust each band until your ears like the final result.
All rooms need that special little tweak to make your sound great to the lugs.
It can take a little time adjusting ,but worth the effort.
I would of liked a Visual EQ on the Genos display like in Daws. Would of been nice.
Do not over do the compression.
It does take time learning all those EQ's, Compressions, gating, limiting etc but it does all come together after a while.
One day AI will do all of that for you.

EQ cannot be controlled when playing mp3 on Genos 1.
Is this possible on Genos 2?
