Exactly this.

Every voice in an expansion pack has a UVF file in XML text. The UVF file contains the voice meta-data. If a voice has waveforms, the waveforms are stored in separate files, either WAV or UTG.

Yamaha have defined new UVF (XML) tags for Genos2 FM voices. New FM voices will be distributed in this form. No waveforms necessary since the voice meta-data is sufficient to configure an FM-X voice.

Notice "FM-X" above. After some bibbling, scribbling and comparison to MODX, it's FM-X.

P.S. Derek is spot-on. We need to work out the structure of an FM UVF file. Sure would like to see one. [hint, hint]. YEM will not let me install the cpf because I do not have a Genos2 n27. Even so, the DX7 pack contents may remain encrypted until it is decrypted by Genos2 during the pack install.
