Hi,

I got my Genos 2 yesterday I tried to install the Expansion Pack "Genos Complete Pack" from the bonus content afters you register your Genos 2.
I updated the Expansion Pack Manager to the latest version to get support for the Genos 2

When installing the pack with send to instrument or creating an installation pack I get an unknown error. Is there anyone else with the same issue, or someone how fixed this?

I don't have G2, but the new version of YEM v2.10  is at G1 downloadpage as well, so I updated it.
Sadly, when install a new pack, it took 1 hour and 30 mins, stood spinning close to the end of the progressbar. After one and a half hour I just stopped it. The install at G1 was nowhere close to finished.
I uninstalled the 2.10 version, installed v2.7 again, and all worked perfect.
Took approx 45 minutes to install the huge library, success.  8) ;D

purchased packages have not yet been upgraded for the Genos 2 yet.

That's what the dealer here says in the Netherlands.
Best Regards,
Wim

I assume that the 'old' pacs won't be updated, and that they are inplemented in the new Expansion Pack "Genos Complete Pack" that is an special pack downloadble for Genos2 users when they regiser the product.
If scroll down a bit at this page, you can read about it:

Same issue here.
YEM 2.10 seems to have problems, but you can install the Complete Pack using the .cpi file. Just copy it onto a USB stick and put it in Genos2
Select 'pack install' and follow instructions.
This works fine without errors.

I guess we'll have to wait for a 'new' YEM version and converted Genos Packs. (Musicsoft)

DaPaleRider

I will wait for a 2.10+ version of the Expansion Manager. The DX7 pack is installed without errors, the Genos Complete Pack crash with an error. Thank you all for replying

What does this pack contain?

FemaleVocal, Trombone, all legacy SA2 voices and some old packs (Celtic, Country ...) that are not by default integrated in the G2 ?

Yamaha supporter send my this message.

Thank you for this message.

The problem is known and is currently being worked on.

A temporary, useful workaround is: Place the pack as a CPI file on a stick and then install it on the Genos 2 via Pack Install.
This functions flawlessly on a Genos2 we tested.

The different types of packs can be defined here.

We wish you much pleasure with your Genos 2.

Thank you and kind regards,

It is a nice workaround but this means that you can only install one package and already installed packages will be delete until you use the expansion manager. We need to wait until the issue is solved

That's awful. I use a lot of the packs especially the Latin/Italian packs so this will be quite annoying loading them one at a time.

You do not now need to install the lot every time you want a new pack loaded
You can add a pack at a time . Chokbu has a video on how to do it.
I will have to re-look it up as it has been a while since uploading packs.
Genos, I7 computer 32 gig ram, Focusrite 6i6, Cubase controller, Focal Alpha Monitors, Yamaha DXR8 Speakers
Cubase 10, Sonarworks, Izotope.  Sampletank, Arturia and Korg software.  Now IK Mixbox

Sounds good mate, let us know.

Hi All

I have just read on another web site that you need to install the Genos Complete pack as the FIRST entry into the YEM.

I have not actually tried it but it maybe worth a go.

Hello John,
To just add one pack to your packs on keyboard use the Quick load option.
