How many have ordered the Genos 2, and has anyone cancelled their order?

rattley

Mine was ordered 2 weeks ago.  I'd pay a premium if they overnighted it for me......... Soon will be soon enough.  -charley

I ordered one today from Sweetwater. Should have it this weekend.

Hello,
I canceled my order, I no longer ship in plastic boxes.
And especially the price is just crazy!!!!

RonsonDenmark

I ordered it from Thomann yesterday.

Still says "in stock" so even though bank transfer is a bit slower I still hope they will ship it before the weekend.

Only problem is I'm not working from home next week  ;D

StuartR

Cancelled any thoughts I had about purchasing the G2 after seeing the lack of SSS and new Leslie support.

usaraiya

I ordered one, too. Obviously, not at the MAP (Minimal Advertised Price) of $5699, but much lower; it will not be advertised at that price, as dealers can sell it at any price they please, but without advertising!

Hi Russ
Ordered and paid for.
Traded Genos in and paid £3049
I think Thomann are a lot cheaper, but then again they are germany and a lot of shipping if things go wrong.
I am not quibbling over price as £3000 or thereabouts  is a great price considering Genos 1 is nealy six years old.
I think i am second on the list and the new keyboard may be ready for collecting next week.
Oh dear, will have to go up in the loft for the old box and climatize it and hope i do not do my back in lol!! :o

All the Best

Hi John,

So you got about 2K for your G1 ?

reya

Seems to be quite a difference in delivery time between dealers ....

My dealer (in Belgium) has Genos 2 in stock, and if ordered before 14:00 hrs they are shipped the same day. Which means when going to the shop (in stead of ordering online), one can immediately go home with one.

Sadly I am not convinced by what I have seen online of G2 so far. So for the moment I am sticking with Genos 1.
Maybe once I heard a Genos 2 in the shop, I will think differently who knows.

Thanks John, that's not bad certainly for the length of time you've had a Genos.

AndrewKeyz

£1950 trade in is better than I expected.

I will see if I get that offered if I trade in for a Montage instead.

I remember them quoting good trade in prices a number of years ago.
It's a good shout out.

They don't have the best of websites, but will probably catch up with them.

Ordered mine today From Bonners My G1 is mint although bought 2017 I feel I got a good deal got £2000 off new Genos 2 . And thanks to the good savings interest over the last few months only needed to find another £200 quid,

GrannyRocks

I ordered it yesterday from Guitar Center in the US, where they say they are in stock and are shipping them out. I understand many were disappointed, but we all have different needs. I no longer have a Genos and I miss those beautiful sounds -- especially the acoustic instruments, such as the sax. The new features look like they are going to be very helpful and I'm anxious to discover if I can create my own MIDI files and make styles out of them. Now that would be great. If it doesn't work out, I'll return it. I tried the Korg PA5X, but I didn't care for the action or the sounds. So I was back to Genos.

It seems like the dealers are all jockeying for position and testing the water to see what they can get away with. Quite a variation in prices already, especially with trade ins.

soundphase

I have issues with my usual local dealer this time. I was one of the first in France to get the Genos 1. But it's not the same with Genos2 unfortunately.

hoangbr2014

I am waiting, maybe next month, the price is very high right now.

Just ordered my G2,the salesperson says they are selling well,he thinks Yamaha has sold out the first shipment so mine will probably be on the  next shipment due December, unless Yamaha has any remaining UK stock

Best wishes to all

I have just ordered my Genos 2, and should be getting it between 1-2 weeks just in time for Christmas.

I done a part ex for my Tyros 5/76 & speakers and they offered £1500 which I thought was a great deal plus they are throwing a USB stick with loads of registrations created by Yamaha.

Getting excited now this is quite a substantial upgrade for me and especially going through my Genelec speakers

Danny1972

I've ordered one too. After listening to the many demos I can really hear an improvement to the drums, this is the most important improvement for me.

guitpic1

I'm leaning toward ordering one from Sweetwater.  They are sold out right now but expecting more in December.

I'm retired, no longer gigging, and in no hurry as I realize it's much the same as my Genos1.  This is my main hobby so I enjoy learning new technology and it will keep me learning.

What I'm a bit mind boggled about is that they are selling Genos2 for the same price or less close to what I paid for my Genos1 years ago.

guitpic1

For me, the goal is to keep growing/learning.
