That's a huge drop!  For any other Canucks here I see Cosmo are still at the regular $6800 (without tax).

When you do currency conversion the price drop in Canada is inline with the prices in the UK so the price of the Genos 1 is not bad for a great keyboard

Looks like there's been a price drop in the US, as well.  I saw the Genos at Sam Ash, a local music store, a few weeks ago for about $6000.  Now, it's $5000 on their website.  Same price on Sweetwater, as well.  Okay, I'm rounding -- it's $4999.99.

Hi Bob --

Thanks for mentioning that. I know I sound like a broken record, but it's always worth calling to see if the seller is willing to lower the price further. I paid less than $5,000 USD -- 5 years ago. $5,000 is the minimum advertised price (MAP), emphasis on "advertised".

Like many folks on the forum, I'm on a fixed income (retired), so every penny counts.

What will be the price of the Genos2: maybe this 'helps the wallet' of the Yamaha Genos 2 buyers in USA and Europe?? ;)

FYI:
The yen is the legal tender in Japan, and after the euro and the US dollar it is the most valued currency in the market.
This year alone the Yen has lost more than a fifth of its value against the US dollar to hit the lowest level since 1990

My best regards,
Ton
