Hi folks,
In a previous post AndyT suggested using Lekato bluetooth page Turner
I didn't get a clear message that it would work with my windows 11 desktop computer
Does anyone know if it would work or if I could make it work with a dongle or a similar attachment, or any other way
I have noticed that windows is mentioned in some adverts for it but just wonder if they are referring to a windows laptop or a windows pad/tablet
lekato say their official office is on Facebook but they have not answered my question, I just wonder if the company is unresponsive
Still I like the Lekato Bluetooth page Turner from pictures and would buy it if I knew it would work on my Windows 11 desktop computer

I used to own and operate, for some trouble-free years, a bluetooth PageFlip Firefly but I sold it with my last keyboard. A very good pedal indeed. Now I have a much cheaper alternative, a Yueyinpu K24-01 Pedal. It's rechargeable and a single charge seems to last months. Have only charged it once since new 12 months ago and it gets used for at least an hour every day. Connects faultlessly every time. No issues whatsoever - it works with Windows 11 for sure. Can be found on Amazon described as "Yueyinpu Bluetooth Page Turner Pedal for Tablets iPad Rechargeable Anti-Skid Pad"

As I get older, I have tried, without any success to find a foolproof pedal page turner. They are either all designed for iPad and I don't use Apple, or the companies that make them, as above, can't be bothered replying to information requests. How do they do expect to get business from people when they don't go after it?

So just for now, I have a fabulous new system. As I am a home player, and have no need for speed, I store and print all my music in pdf format, and store it as paper music in several multi coloured folders and USB sticks.
Then I use a new invention of the 21st century called FINGERS to move from page to Page!!

I haven't yet found an Android Tablet big enough to do this pedal page changing, and I'm certainly not succumbing to Apples wallet gouging prices, but I am considering a large vertical monitor screen like maybe  the Samsung F22T450FQR T45F Series - LED monitor - 22" to display and hopefully move the pdf scores by pedal.

Anyone?

I have TRIED, unsuccessfully, with an old 2012 iPad (donated by a friend) but THE screens are so SMALL. I need a BIGGER SCREEN.. At least A4 size as an absolute minimum. Is that so difficult?

Don't underestimate eyesight or hearing. it will affect you and catch up with you all in later years so I feel that an awful lot more thought could go into this aspect of music reading.

We think of age distantly, until the day it arrives.

In my case... It's here!

I too try to avoid Apple products as much as possible, but I am also a pragmatist. All of my music is in pdf format, stored in a Microsoft OneDrive cloud, backed up on a 2TB hard drive. The required music is displayed using forScore on an Apple iPad Pro (12.9-inch) which is in permanent residence on the music rest of my PSR-970 Arranger. Page-turning is carried out using AirTurn pedals. The displayed music is as near as dammit to A4 size, and may be slightly larger if trimmed using forScore's Crop feature.

I hope this helps.

Thanks very much for this Alan.
I've taken a long look at all the suggestions, and decided on the following.
I've just bought a brand new Android 12 Lenovo tablet. This replaces my old Asus tablet and has a significantly bigger actual screen area which should help.

I've also decided on the Lekato Bluetooth pedal. I'll be ordering that shortly.

All my pdf music has now been transferred to a new 64Gb memory card on the tablet  and in that way I hope I can both read the music and turn the pages.

If this fails, then I have a number of unused Windows 10 pc's and I'll do it with the large Samsung screen turned vertically as previously described.

For software, I'm going to try Mobile Sheets which at £15 seems a good investment.

I'm going into hospital shortly for a full knee replacement, so it will be on the back burner for a little while

All useful info and thanks for your suggestions.
