I have assigned "Transpose" to foot switch. It is used in lieu of  - and + button on the SX900 keyboard panel. I lowered the setting to -5. At the point in the recording of a song where I need to
Transpose to -4, (1 semitone) a push the footswitch and, sense it is in - mode, it moves to -6. Of course. So, knowing that, I have tried to figure out how to "Raise" a negative numer to a higher
Negative number. -5 to -4. I must be doing something dumb, (what else?). What am I missing?
Thanks

I have been through both of my Pedal settings and can't find a Transpose section in either of them.

On a Genos, there are separate assignments for Transpose+ and Transpose-. You just have to assign Transpose+ to the pedal. Hopefully, it's the same on an SX.

Manually set the transposition to -5, set into a registration and save. Set the foot switch to Transpose + and press when required.

Perhaps a better way would be to manually set up Registration 1 with transpose at -5, Registration 2 at -4 and so on, building up a bank of registrations for the song and save it. Then use the foot switch in Registration Sequence mode to step through the registrations.
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

@Eileen
Hi Eileen,
The Transpose -/+ functions (assignable to pedals or Assignable buttons) can be found in the "Overall" category of the Assignable functions.

@mhack
Hi Mike,
The Transpose -/+ functions that you assigned to pedals in the Assignable display work the same as the Transpose -/+ panel buttons. "Transpose -" always shifts the pitch down one semitone, "Transpose +" always shifts the pitch up one semitone, starting from the current pitch.

Note that this function (just like the "Transpose -/+" panel buttons) can affect "Keyboard", "Song" or "Master" (= Keyboard & Song), depending on the last setting made under "Menu > Transpose" (or in the Transpose pop-up menu).

Best regarts,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Thanks to all! I will attack the problem again tomorrow.
