For me, I get the keyboard to do it with the transposition button.

Cheers,
Fred

That wouldn't change the key of the original midi, just how it sounds on your keyboard. I think the OP wants to save the midi in a different key.

The MIDI key can be transposed in the keyboard. This video shows the process.

Hi raywil77,

If a MIDI file is transposed directly on the keyboard and the MIDI file is saved again (with current models in MIDI Multi Recording or with earlier models in Song Creator) XF chords contained in the MIDI file are not transposed as far as I know.

I therefore recommend transposing MIDI files with the PC (Windows) program PSRUTI. If included, the XF chords are also transposed here. Also see the attached screenshot.

P.S.
Of course you can just use the Transpose buttons on the keyboard (if they are set to only affect the SONG). Or you set the transposition in the Transpose display for SONG as desired (KEYBOARD and MASTER transpose values usually remain at zero). This transposition can also be memorized to the relevant Registration, which is used to call up the MIDI file. However, there is a risk that other MIDI files will also be transposed by mistake if you load them directly (i.e. without registration).

Best regards,
Chris
