How does one save a different multipad selection to a song?

Hi bassgolf,

The easiest and most flexible way is using a Registration. This way, you can e.g. load a MIDI file, a Multipad bank and also set the Keyboard Voices by pressing one button.

Another method (without Registrations) is as follows:

- First manually load the MIDI file, the Multipad bank and, if desired, also a suitable Style.
- On Tyros5, then open the Song Creator and go to "Channel > Setup".
- Press the SONG STOP button to ensure the song position is  at the beginning.
- In "Setup" page, make sure the "Keyboard Voice" checkbox is ticked.
- Make sure the upper 7 checkboxes ("Voice" to "EQ") are ticked as well.
- Press "Execute" followed by "Save". (Enter a new/changed file name to prevent the original MIDI file from overwriting.)
- When the new MIDI file is loaded,, this will automatically load the Multipad bank, the Style and set the Keyboard Voices.

For the sake of completeness: You can insert these Keyboard Voice events not only at the beginning of the MIDI file, but at any position in the file. (Simply stop playback of the song at the desired position and press "Execute". Finally don't forget to re-save the file.)

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
