Hi Guys, I recently sold my SX900 because I'm going to another country indefinitely, and I don't know when I'll be back.
So I decided to buy the SX600 to work the few days I have left before the trip.

The idea is to leave the SX600 programmed and leave it to my musical duo partner, who wants to change her 5-year-old S670.

well after all the above, I want to say as a comment, that the SX600 does NOT admit USB memories, with speeds greater than 2.0.

why do i say this?
i had a Sandisk 3.1 usb working wonderfully in my old SX900, but when I inserted it into the SX600, it didn't even recognize it, for a moment I thought it had a virus, so I decided to buy another memory, but also Sandisk 64 GB, 3.1 but it happened Same thing, after trying so much I bought another memory, also Sandisk, but 2.0, and this one did work the first time.

Checking the owner's manual for the SX600, it says that the instrument may not recognize all USB (Memory) devices, and Yamaha cannot be held responsible for this.

I say this so that you take it into account, and do not think like me at some point, that your instrument has failures in the USB port

Just as a thought....

Have you formatted the usb's on the SX600 BEFORE transferring data to them from your pc?

No Yamaha keyboards at present.

I can't say for SX600 specifically, but USB3.0 (3.1, 3.2) device is compatible with USB 2.0. That is, if we put USB3.0 stick into USB2.0 (or vice verse) it must work -but that doesn't mean it will be recognized.
To be recognized by keyboard, USB stick must be formatted in a way, which keyboard understands. For Yamaha keyboard, that's so called FAT32 format (I'm not sure, but I think "Allocation unit size" must be 4096 bytes).

Hi guys, thanks for your comments.

The problem with the USB devices in question was that they couldn't be formatted on the sx600, since it didn't even recognize that a USB was attached.

This is what the user manual of the SX600 Pag.94 says

"The instrument does not necessarily support all
USB storage devices available on the
market. Yamaha cannot guarantee the operation
of the USB devices you purchase. Before buying
a USB device for use with this instrument,
visit the following website:
https://download.yamaha.com/

Although devices may be used on this instrument
USB 2.0 to 3.0, the amount of time to save
or charging from the USB device may vary in
depending on the type of data or the status of the instrument.
USB 1.1 devices cannot be used on this
instrument"

the USB devices were 3.1, and the SX600 didn't even recognize them for formatting, instead the other USB device, also from the same brand (Sandisk - Cruzer) of 2.0, did recognize it and I was able to format it within the keyboard
