Cutoff for Midifiles

Many songs working at the begin of a song with the cutoff. So at the begin the cutoff goes from down to up which is giving a good effect (for all channels). But I'dont know how can I do this during liveplaying for all channels (with styles no problem, but with midi??). Or can I do it with redording?
