Hi,

Does anyone know if the midi song or style files produced by Yamaha on the Music Cartridges in the 1990s exist anywhere? I remember the files were extremely well arranged and sounded pretty good on the PSR keyboards at the time.

Thanks,

Bazza.

Hi Bazza,

Unfortunately, I don't know if the contents of the old cartridges are available for download somewhere.

On the PSR Tutorial main site you can also download styles from/for older PSR models. Maybe there is something for you. (For the preset styles, please click on the name of the relevant style category.)

Here you can find Yamaha XG MIDI files:

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Hi Chris.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've trawled through all of the Styles and Songs data on these pages and yes, there are some old ones I remember from the keyboards I used to own, but sadly none from the music cartridges. I will keep looking on the internet. I'm sure they must exist somewhere. I know when Yamaha Musicsoft Europe was still going, they were available to buy on there, but that's gone now.

Thanks for your help though.

The subject music cartridges are available on eBay here in the United States. :)
