lavalier lapel mic to use with my Tyros 4

Hi i bought a lavalier lapel mic to use with my Tyros 4  it showes up in mic settings
as just a green blip moving up and down as it recognises the tv sound,cant turn sound up anymore at max now,it contains its own battery,wich i have tried on and off and varous adapters into mic input but nothing changes, have i bought the wrong thing or do i need to purchase something else,

There should be is a Button on the back side of the keyboard. Mic][Line ... make sure is it is flipped to Mic.

Hi have got the mic plugged into mic input there is only a trin knob wich i have turned to full ,have the gain knob turned to full.

yes in the mic settings i have the volume turned up full no difference ?

What lav mic do you have? Brand and model. A link to the sellers page of the lav?

Yes, a good dynamic mic like the Shure SM58. :)

No thanks have a good mic and stand just trying to do away with mic and stand,space is a premium.

Some users here are using Shure headset mics. I think one of them is the Shure WH20XLR.

I don't think a lav mic would work well due to its location not near the mouth.

Thank you for your heip,going to make one that clamps to my tyros stand and use my dynamic mic.

Lav mics aren't a good choice for live use due to the pickup pattern and the sensitivity, in turn would cause feedback. I too would recommend a headset mic since the mic is closer to the mouth.
