Am really getting into all the wonders of the REGISTRATION feature. Have already made many registrations for my own use. So flexible!

But .......  the standard way to save changes to the current registration - when the registration file already exists - is very cumbersome to say the least!

So many button and finger presses to do a simple thing..

Is there a quick way to just save changes?

No, you always have to go through the steps as if you were saving it for the first time.

I do agree though, it would be nice to have a "Just overwrite the one you loaded" option.

No question we should have Save and Save As options, but we don't.

You'll get used to the responses in due time.

Indeed, unfortunately there is no magic shortcut for resaving a registration bank, but at least you can save some clicks.
Normal process is as follows:

(load registration bank and do some changes on one or more registrations)
   1.   Press the registration bar on top of the screen (or press both "Registration Bank Select" buttons together)
   2.   Press "File"
   3.   Press "Save"
   4.   Press "Save Here"
   5.   Press "OK"
   6.   Press "Yes" (to confirm the overwrite)
   (load another registration bank)

My method is to systematically skip steps 1 and 2. You can make as many changes as you want to the current bank. You can switch off and on your keyboard (SX700 in my case): the changes in the current bank are maintained. The moment you try to load another registration bank, you are automatically prompted to save the current bank (= jump to step 3) and after step 6, your newly selected bank is already loaded.

I think you can significantly save some steps by using one of the six shortcut button for setting up as Registration editor

One click on that - it opens up the window of saving the registration.

It has saved me a lot of irritation.

Hi nonchai,

If you want to change one and the same parameter for many registrations, you can use the Yamaha registration manager program.
