Just change the extension from .sst to .sty
If plan A doesn't work, don't forget that the alphabet has 25 more letters.

Hi Dusan,

you don't need to "convert" the styles. If your keyboard model cannot read .sst (session style), .prs (pro style), etc., just change (rename) the extension of the style files to .sty on the computer.

Hi Dusan,

Which keyboard model is your question about here? I gather from your earlier posts that you have a Tyros5. Of course, the T5 can load .sst styles directly.

Hi Dusan,

Are you sure you are looking in the Style Selection display (and on the correct drive)? In other file selection displays, e.g. the Registration or Song Selection display, you cannot see Style files.

Chris,

I can load sst styles on USB stick or Hard drive but when I press style to load
Kayboard show a mesage:"File dont load preperly"....
That hapened only when to try load sst extention styles...

Hi Dusan,

I suspect that these files are either damaged, or they are not Yamaha style files. (The .sst extension is also is used for other file types on the computer.)

Open these files with a Text editor (e.g. "Notepad") on the computer. In the first line of the displayed text you must see "SFF1" or "SFF2". Otherwise it is not a Yamaha Style file.

You could also add the extension  ".mid". Then the file must be recognized as a MIDI file ("Song"). If this doesn't play properly on the computer or in the T5 MIDI Player, the file is definitely not a Yamaha Style file.

P.S.
Many of the T5 Preset Styles are Session Styles (.sst). The problem must be your external files.

Best regards,
Chris

This not correct, Dusan. If the file is included in the display, the keyboard recognizes it as a style file. The "didn't load properly" message means it's not in a format the keyboard can recognize. The file is either damaged, or never was a style file in the first place.

So, your keyboard recognizes .sst files as styles. Now you just need one that is properly formatted.

I used to do those kind of conversions using the DOS window of my PC.

The command was: ren*.*sst (space) *.*sty (enter)
