wav files and make them sound like pads

Hi everyone, I can't load wav files and make them sound like pads. In the user manual it seems very simple, I follow the whole procedure but my sx600 tells me that it doesn't support this type of file. Yet it is foreseen in the manual, I converted the files to Wav at 44.1 Kz, 16 bite, stereo, as per the instructions...but nothing...is wrong. Does anyone know how to do it or should I just give up? A pad is a voice that is used as a style track. To use a voice in a style you need to be able to load and access voice files. A wav file is not a voice file, it's an audio file. You play audio files as songs, not voices.

hmmm... it's interesting... It's said in specs that SX600 supports Audio Link multipads. But in reference manual, there is not mentioned how to create audio (wav) multipads -at least I couldn't find that. On the other hand, that's well explained in SX900/700 reference manual. And so I wonder if that's possible on SX600 or not. Or is "Audio Link" just a loose term and means voices in this case?

in the future I will do other tests, the manual explains that all the steps must be performed in USER USB, which I did but to no avail. Anyway, thanks for the replies received. Greetings everyone

Ah, I see now: in case of SX600, the process of Audio Link MP creation is described in owner's manual (for SX900/700 it's in reference manual).
Anyway, I recommend you try with relative short wave samples (maybe 1-2 sec long). Also keep in mind, that although you can save Multipads file in user memory, that file doesn't contain sample (wav) files! That means, if you wish to use Audio Link multipads later, then USB stick (with wav samples to which Multipads are linked) must be connected to keyboard.

...press the MULTI PAD CONTOLL button, press the Audio Link button, select the desired Pad (1-2-3-4), go to the USER USB and select the desired WAV file, press enter, save by creating a new one audio banks. Name it and save it to USB. This all works perfectly if the wav files are recorded via the keyboard utilities (e.g. microphone, etc.). Many tests have shown that recording can last more than 20 seconds. For external wav files you must stick to these parameters (44.1 kHz - 16 bit - stereo) otherwise it will not be recognized by the sx600. So it can also be a meaningful sentence.
