Use of text files

I have figured out how to connect a text file to a registration (thanks to things on here plus videos people from here have made).  I was originally thinking that I could use that as a way for sheet music to be part of the registration.  But now I see that the text file is quite limited.

So I'm curious, what do people use the text file for?   I guess it could be lyrics.  Or chords names (like C, F7, G7 etc) without the melody or a staff.  I guess it could be text reminders, like what sheet music book contains the music the registration was made for.  Or maybe more info on the registrations than fits in the registration name within the bank.  What else?

Thanks in advance

Text files are primarily used for lyrics. I imagine, you could use them to note the chord changes over the lyrics display as well, but displaying sheet music on the keyboard display is currently not possible. And, due to the limited size of the display, they would be quite difficult to read.

Good luck,

Thanks for the response.   Because I've seen sheet music shown (I think in the song mode), I was trying to find a way to do that.   Then I thought maybe connect to an internal display.   I know there's Somgbook+ and some people just put sheet music onto pdf's and search separately on the distinct device.  All do-able, just something I haven't ventured into.  Thanks again.

jcm,

You might be thinking of displaying the "Score" on the keyboard. When you playback, or record a MIDI file, you can display that on the Score.
You get the bouncing ball animated during playback, and I find it pretty useful for when I'm practicing, and as a way for self critiquing my playing.
You can often spot your timing errors, or key stroke errors. I don't think there's any way to import sheet music into this Score on the keyboard.

Also, I use the Notes to attach descriptions of what I was trying to do, or settings that I may have adjusted.  Every little bit helps!  Regards
