Hi to all,
This may be a stupid question, but would the above regi-stick work with an SX900, specifically with regards to the bass pedals/ second keyboard options?
Many thanks in advance,
George.

Hi George,

This thread might help you:

P.S.
If the Regi-Stick contains Custom Voices for the Pedal Voices (e.g. UVN Voice files and a UVI Library file if the stick was originally intended for the Tyros4), you would first have to import this UVI file into the Yamaha Expansion Manager (YEM), make sure this Pack has LSB 0 and then install the Pack on the SX900.

Edit:
The Pedal Voices are obviously not realized with Custom Voices on the Regi-Stick RS4-1 (intended for Tyros5), but with MIDI files, i.e. via the SONG parts. (See the following post.)

Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

I found this PDF on the internet:
>>> https://www.yamaha-club.net/archive/TyrosOrgan_Tyros5.pdf

The last page explains that the Regi-Stick RS4-1 is the Tyros5 version of the Regi-Stick RS4 (Tyros4).

The Pedal voices on the RS4-1 are obviously realized via MIDI files, i.e. via the SONG parts.

The whole thing should actually work on the SX900 just like on the Tyros5. The included T5 Registrations should actually also work on the SX900.

If you have any further questions, just get in touch again. You will surely get help here. :)

Best regards,
Chris
