Does anyone have a definitive style for "The Wonder of You"?  My son-in-law sings this,  a la Elvis, and I would love to surprise him with an accurate backing.   ;)    Big thanks in advance.

Hi Ron,

lenzieman is looking for a Style (not a lead sheet), I think. ;)

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Ok,  I have just tried a few styles. There are quite a few to be fair.

But I like 90's SmoothBallad from the R and B section in Genos played at 80bpm.

Best regards,

Ron

I think Lenzieman is looking for a custom style which is close to the arrangement of the Elvis original. There is a very good site - German company I think - that I bought custom styles from, and they were excellent and just a few dollars. They would probably have this song, but  I can't remember the company name. Someone here will have it I think John (Ugawoga) posted it.
Another good option is a good karaoke midi and play two handed piano along with it on the Genos.

For "The Wonder Of You" I edited a style and a registration on a SX-900 with appropriate multi pads.

Style with OTS and multi pads
Registration has a bit more. (8 banks) with auto triggered multi pads

Not sure how it will sound on other models, would be interested in knowing

Hey Lenzieman, just a little tip to try which I always used in the band for this song ,---  in bar 11/12 where it goes Bb - C7 - F7, try Bb - C7 - D. Or even better on the D chord move the bass on each beat D/D- D/E -D/F#to create a run into Gm7. Always good to good to save this change of chord as a variation for the last time. I always liked this.

Thank you, mikf, for that. I'll certainly give it a try. It has always fascinated me, how the simplest thing, can make your playing sound that a little bit better and in some cases, a whole lot better.  Y'know, at this rate, I might actually get quite good at this!  Thanks again.   :)
