Tyros 5 preset style Country8beat

hi and thanks for this amazing info site

had the Tyros 5
sold it and bought the GENOS
it does not have this specific style  COUNTRY8beat
with the beginning and ending i love on the TYROS 5

is there anyway or anyone that would know how if possible to get that style online from the TYROS 5 and then load it into the GENOS?

Click on the Style category name "COUNTRY" to download a zip file containing all Styles of this category.

Unzip the zip file on your computer and copy the desired Styles to a USB stick. (It is best to create a folder on the stick for the new Styles.) Connect the stick to the Genos, open the Style Selection display and go to User > USB1. (If another USB stick is already connected in the compartment at the bottom of the Genos, it will be USB1, so the second stick will be USB2. )

You can play the new Styles directly from thr USB stick. Alternatively you can copy the Styles into the Genos User drive and use them from there.

thank you all for your help

i loaded the PCR style into the genos  ( COUNTRY 8 beat)
it sounds absolutely nothing like the TYROS 5 style

should it sound the same?
what am i doing wrong?
the end and the intros are totally different

in case anyone is interested

The reason that the style doesn't sound like 'Country8Beat' is because the style used in the video seems to be 'Cool8Beat' !

This was an audio style on the T5 but there are non audio versions from other models around.

You can download the Audio Styles for Genos from the Yamaha website using the link that EileenL provided - the 'Cool8Beat' style is in the 'Retro Pop' pack. You will need to use the Yamaha Expansion Manager (YEM) program to load it into your keyboard from the download unless someone posts a copy for you.

Here is a direct link to the zipfile. It's not nessesary to use YEM, just unzip the styles to a USB stick, and play from there, or copy the folder into the user drive and load from there.

i dont quite understand

the style COOL8beat is an audio style on the TYROS5
so there is no way i can get this same exact AUDIO STYLE for my GENOS

i downloaded all these styles from all these downloads but none  is the actual audio style
the download i received from Gunnar doesnt include COOL8BEAT

so i am lost

help!!! me !!!!!  PLEASE

Yamaha made the audio+ styles from the T5 available in free packs for Genos.

As I said in my previous reply, you can download them from the Yamaha site.

They are on the page at EileenL's link, listed in the section 'Other Downloads', near the bottom of the page as 'Bonus Audio Style Packs'.

The 'Cool8Beat' style is in the 'Retro Pop' pack.

These packs are supplied as zipped .ppf files, so must first be extracted (unzipped), then imported into YEM in order to make an install file (.ppi) which is used to load them onto your keyboard.

Hi GL,

first please download the "Bonus Audio Style Pack RetroPop" from the Genos download site (as mentioned by Ian) or just use the following direct download link:

Unzip the downloaded zip file on your computer to get the .ppf Pack file.


Note: You do NOT necessarily have to import this Pack into the YEM and install it on the Genos! I recommend the following method instead:

- Download the PC (Windows) program "StyleExtractor V1.0.0.5" (developed by our forum member "jexino") from the following link:

- Start the program by double-clicking on the "StyleExtrator.exe" file.

- Load the file "A.Style_RetroPop_Genos.ppf" by clicking on the "Choose PPI/PPF File" button and then click on the "Start to extract" button. Close the StyleExtrator program.

- At the location of the .ppf file you will now find a new subfolder containing the extracted 5 styles.

- Copy the desired Audio styles (.aus) to a USB stick and connect the stick to the Genos. You can play the Audio styles directly from the stick. If desired, you can of course also copy the styles (in the Style Selection display) to the Genos User drive.
