Transpose Chords Chart

I sometimes jam with a guitar player , I did this text file and copied it into a text folder on the Key Board, I didnt do all keys just some common ones , also I took this information from the Korg Micro arranger , Why Yamaha does not display this on the screen ?

I have to admit to being completely puzzled how you would use a chart like this. If I want to play with a sax player that plays in Eb, I can play in C if I raise pitch by 3. That is obvious because there are 3 notes between C and Eb. How is the chart used for chord transpose??? You cant transpose chords using the pitch change button, that is for changing key.

example  when you play in the key of c and transpose the key board  + 2 you are now playing in the key of d etc .

If you are only using the chart to change the keyboard pitch to a matching key and you like the chart that's fine. Most people would not bother with a chart because it's very simple -  just the number of notes between the key you want to play in and the key you want to the keyboard to sound. Just count them on the keyboard, right is plus, left is minus. Much easier and quicker than looking up a chart. If he wants to play in A and you want to play in F, that's just 4 notes to the right, so +4. If you want to go minus just remember the numbers always add to 12. So + 4 or - 8 changes keyboard pitch to A if you play F.

I have to agree. Yamaha could have provided a wee bit more help on the touch screen when you select Transpose. The time I use transpose most often is when I want to play along with a recording and the key of the performance doesn't match my sheet music.

for myself having a chart is easier, the chart is loaded right in a folder on my key board , I don't read music if I am playing in the key of C it's easy to transpose if I am playing in other keys such as Eb its hard to figure out ...for those who have studied music it may be easy my ear can't count

 Yamaha don't provide anything because it's so easy. You don't need musical knowledge or be able to read music to do this. Your music is in D and the recording is in G. Count the notes between D and G.  It's Eb,E,F,F#,G. - going right so plus 5 or minus 7. Do it in your head or physically count them on the keyboard. If you are worried about getting it right, play the G before pressing the plus transpose button 5 times then play D. Should be the same note. After the first couple of times this process won't take but a couple of seconds because you will be doing it in your head.
