Hi folks. Looking for a compatible USB display adapter for my new SX900. I have seen the Yamaha compatible adapter list (2019) but it includes the caveat

"Please note that these devices might be updated and new versions released which may stop them from working
correctly with this product. For more information on these devices including availability, please consult the device manufacturer."

Anyone recently by an adapter that functions. Also by USB adapter are they referring  to a display port adapter. Thanks. JM :)

Hi JM,

Only USB 2.0 display adapters are suitable. The adapter must be based on a specific chipset (DisplayLink DL-165 or DL-195). USB 3 adapters do NOT work on Yamaha keyboards. See also here:

To be on the safe side, I recommend to buy from a well-known music store. I am using the "iTec USB2HDTRIO" adapter with no problems:

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
