Hi everyone,

I´ve just developed an style that has the Intro Part with 90 bpm and the rest of the song is 122 bpm

My question is:

How can I put the entire style onto one registration bank?

I tried to adjust the  Intro in 90 bpm but the rest of the parts change and vice versa

One solution that come s to my mind is create 2 Styles, for Intro and the rest of the song

Thanks for your comments

Carlos

PS I have a DGX 670 and it only has four registration buttons

Hi Carlos
set the tempo in Style. You can easily do this with the MixMaster program. Set the basic tempo at the very beginning of the Style to 122. Find the INTRO marker and set it to 90.
It's identical to this video, only I put a new tempo (100) on MAIN B.

Hi ckobu

I´ll try this out

Is necessary to load the instrument definition file for DGX 670? Because I googled the Jørgen Sørensen´s website and I found only the file for DGX 660

Thanks for your reply

You don't need to enter Instrument Definitions because you're just adding control to Tempo. If you want to change voices in MixMaster, then you will need insert Instrument Definitions.

Hi quasar,
another way is to save in the registration button no 1, the style at 90 bpm and in the registration button no 2 the same style at 122 bpm.
When we press a registration button, the style will play at the bpm that it is saved in the registration
(Call the style, change the bpm to 122, mark the tempo box and save the registration).

Registration button no 1 doesn't care at all what it is stored in registration no 2.
It could be two totally different things.

After you hit the registration button no 2, you can continue your playing and you can press, as you usually do, the main style buttons in order to change mains and fill ins.

Hi panos, I tried with registrations but the tempo does not remain fixed, If I adjust the time in Intro at 90 this also happens in the rest or the song. The registration works perfect with only one tempo, it´s very useful because you can adjust several parameters at the same time
Thanks,

I´ve got to tell you that the problem was solved but it´s a little confusing because the tempo remains at 122 in the whole song while it stays in Mixmaster but when you load it into the keyboard everything works perfect: intro is at 90 and the rest at 120

Thanks for your help ckobu

Hi Carlos,

This is an example of how I am changing the tempo on a PSR.
Go to time 03:50 of this video to watch the time changes with the usage of the reg buttons.
I am using the same style and the same variation of Main D:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iv6yr9Smysw

In the reference manual of the DGX670 it says that a registration also saves the Tempo among other things.
Anyway, glad to hear that you  found the way to change the tempo in the style with Jorgen's program  :D
