Hi Colin,

When you play back a MIDI file, the (up to 16) SONG parts are used. You can deactivate (mute) one or more Song parts in the Mixer display or turn down the volume of the relevant Song part. If you then want to play along with the MIDI file, you do this (as when playing with a style) with the Keyboard parts. Here you can, as usual, set the desired voices (Right 1 - 3, Left parts) as desired.

Note: If the voices you set for the Keyboard parts are changed again when you start the MIDI file, so-called "Keyboard Voice Meta Events" have been saved in the MIDI file. In this case, I recommend removing these unwanted Meta Events with the PC (Windows) program "PSRUTI":
>>> Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login

To do this,
- load the MIDI file in PSRUTI and then click on "Extras > Delete Keyboard Events".
- In the next window, make sure that at least the first checkbox "Delete Meta Events Keyboard Voice" is ticked and click OK > OK > Exit.
- Then click the "Save" button to save the modified MIDI file.
- To keep the original file unchanged, click "Save as..." instead and give the modified file a new name. Exit PSRUTI and test the modified MIDI file in Genos.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
