Suggestions for best method for joining two FC4A Pedals

Hey Guys,

I presently have two KC4A pedals taped to the floor with 2" wide clear packing tape. It works, but not very elegant.
Any suggestions for a better method?

A small board or piece of carpet, stick Velcro on it in the right place,  then stick velcro on the the pedals.
