I cannot figure out how to make a specific multipad autoplay with a registration. Is it possible? The only solution I've come up with is to set the volume at different levels in different sections and try to remember to play the multipad at the beginning of the song.

You need to sync start the multipad. Hold down the Sync button, then the pad number. It will flash. Now memorize the registration.

The pad will now start when you press a chord.

Fred, I just figured it out on my own and came back to say so... but you are lightning fast!!! Just to show how effective this forum is, all it took was reading about sync start in another thread, but I still thought it meant the main style sync start. Literally STARING at that button, pushing it like a crazy person to no avail, then finally it dawned on me to hold it and set it flashing! Yay, been wanting this for months!

Is there a way to make a multipad start without playing a chord, eg by invoking a different registration?

A registration won't do it. But the simple method, other than playing a chord, is to press the multipad button yourself.

Thanks Fred
Sometimes, the answer to a question should be blindingly obvious.

Say I am playing Registration 1 which includes a sync start of  multipad no.2 of a bank. I change to Registration 2 which sync starts multipad no.3 of the same or a of different bank. How to I stop the first multipad playing?

My present way of achieving this is to create a new multipad with the contents of no.3 copied into the no.2 slot, thus over-writing the first one.

You need to place a padstopper in slot 2 of the new loaded bank in this case.  Just search this forum for "padstopper".

I've got a padstopper, but I've only ever used it to close down all the 4 button options. I never though to use it on just one of them. Thank you for pointing out what should have been obvious.

You'd be amazed at the frustration and wasted time i spent trying to do this with the Pad Editir. It's so simple when you see how to do it.
