Mixmaster with Mac

Hi all, I have enjoyed Mixmaster because  of the great utilities and facilities it has for working with midi files, my daughter gave me a nice and new Mac (apple) in order to replace my old windows PC. The thing is, is there any way to install and run Mixmaster on a Mac? What alternatives do you suggest? I think I'm probably in a trouble situation because most of the programs and utilities shared by our friends here in the forum are made to run in windows, I don't know if I'm  wrong, please your advise and recommendations.

Unfortunately, MixMaster will not work on Mac right away.
I am not a Mac user and what I am writing here is with reservation.
But what I think to know is that it is possible to run Window programs on a Mac, by installing some kind of Virtual Windows on the Mac.
You will certainly find more information about this on the internet.

Another point :
Mixmaster is a Windows 32 bit application. I am limited to this because of the use of a 32 bit dll.
As far as I know Mac's new OS (Big Sure) only accepts 64 bits applications.
So even if you should be able to install a virtual Windows on your Mac, it would perhaps not run a 32 bit application.

Hello Etienne and thanks a lot for the info, it's a shame not to have Mixmaster (and other utilities) for Macs version, because it's such a good, powerful and practical software for us. Hope some day we can have a Mac version.! On the other side, yes, I was reading and investigating about possible alternatives to run windows apps on a Mac and fortunately there could be a possible solution to run these old apps on newer devices, one option is (apple) Boot Camp, it permits to make a partition on the Mac HDD and you can format and install windows 7 32b..(or other) . I'll be investigating and try to make it work.

Obviously, it's not free but it's worth it in my opinion.

You don't need to format your drive or reboot your Mac every time you want to run Windows (as with Boot Camp).

After you've installed Parallels, you can then install and run any Windows program. It's so seamless, I doubt you'll notice you're running two separate operating systems on your Mac.

Thank you Chris, yes, I took time to read, learn and be aware of this other possible solution, Parallel, it seems a very very well solution and no doubt about that can work and could be one option to run all of the very useful and practical windows software apps developed by our members. I can see is a good alternative if you don't mind expending some money and invest in this software, on the other hand, someone can solve this issue using the Apple Boot Camp option, not so practical but also works.
