Hello everyone! :) I've been searching for tutorial how to make a screenshot on Tyros keyboards. I've seen how to make it on Genos, PSR SX, Tyros 5 and 4 and even PSR s950/975. But is it possible to get a screenshot on Tyros 2?

Hi Musicnic,

to my knowledge, for Tyros2 there is (unlike e.g. for Tyros4/5 or Genos) NO panel shortcut for creating display screenshots.

However, you can use the small PC program "DisplaySnapper", which is available on the website of our German forum member "Heidrun". (See also the attached picture.)

To download the zip file, click the link below and then click the "Download" button:
>>> https://heidruns-musikerseiten.de/downloads/keyboard-tools/displaysnapper

Here is a little guide:  :)

• Unzip the downloaded file into a new folder on your PC.

• Connect the Tyros2 USB-to-Host port to the PC using a USB type AB cable.

• Make sure the Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver is installed on the PC. If not, download it here and install it (32-bit OR 64-bit version, suitable for the installed Windows version):
>>> https://uk.yamaha.com/en/support/updates/index.html?c=keyboards&k=usb-midi+driver+V3.1.4+for+Win

• Connect a working USB stick to the Tyros2's front USB-to-Device port. (To be on the safe side, press one of the Style Category buttons and check that the "USB1" tab is shown in the Style Selection display.)

• Double-click the unzipped file "DisplaySnapper.exe" to start the program.

• Select "Digital Workstation 1" as MIDI Output in the dropdown box.

• Make sure the "Tyros2 USB/Card" option button is selected.

• Now either click on the Camera icon in "DisplaySnapper" OR press any key (e.g. the space bar) on the PC keyboard to save a Screenshot on the USB stick (file type: .BMP, file size: about 900 KB, 640*480 px).

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
