Can I use Classic American Country Songs Registration Pack on my SX900?

Hello,

It´s pity that Yamaha Musicsoft's Country expansion pack doesn't work on the SX900 keyboard, only with Genos and Tyros 5. I found this in the Musicsoft online store; American Country - Super Registration Pack 23 (Registrations for 100 Classic American Country Songs). The website states that it is compatible with Tyros 4 and Tyros5 devices, as well as the S970.

Do you think the registers also work for my SX900 keyboard?
I thought that if they work on a Tyros 5 device, for example, I could first download the registers in Tyros 5 format and then convert them with Murray`s Yamaha Registration Manager to my SX900. The package isn't very expensive, about $ 28, but if it doesn't work, I wouldn't want to buy it ...

 I would think custom styles and sounds would be included as part of those registrations, so don't see why it would not work on the SX.

I use some of my old Tyros 5 registrations on my SX900 and they work OK..I also use the Yamaha country pack which I purchased for my Tyros 5. All work well.

Thanks for your message! If I remember right your Country Musician Pack file is so "old" that it works also on SX900, we have discussed this thing last year... Maybe your file is .ppf, not cpf, if I remember right...

The file is CPF but because I bought it a while back it works. They seemed to have altered the format of things with the free packs so that you can only use the packs for your particular keyboard.
