Recently bought a SX 600 arranger and here are a few comments:

I also have the Yamaha PSR 770 and this new model is very similar in layout and operations.

The SX 600 has a better, cleaner sound with respect to the styles.
The SX 600 provides most of the voices and styles found on the 770.
The unison feature is still a mystery to me. Not sure the best way to utilize this feature.
The accent feature is definitely a nice touch ( pun intended )
My biggest disappointment is not having the ability to make draw bar adjustments to an organ voice.
Overal, for the price, this is a great arranger and a slight but definite upgrade to the 770 arranger.

Glad you are happy with your new keyboard😀😀

Hi texzen

Yes, great starters arranger keyboard, and i got one too recently bought.
Unison is for thickening up the melody.
And accent for thickening up the styles (ACMP )

Has the same problem as you how to apply these features excactly ?
Looks very attractive this.

Have you already read the instructions for using the "Unison" and "Accent" functions (in the SX600 Reference Manual, pages 28 - 30)?

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Yes, i did and it seems to be not easy for me and looks complicated
How to start with this..

best regards

With respect to the unison feature:
What I noticed is that when I set this feature up with my foot pedal, the style accompaniments are turned on and off with the foot pedal. I guess this makes the melody line stand out during the performance. Interesting.

I think you are right about the unison function : when applied unison then the ACMP is partly hearable ?(drums only)
see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWYuZeG3I3E&feature=youtu.be

With unison you can play on the whole keyboard and the stylepart of the keyboard is partly disabled i believe.

Also using unison & accent together meaning is not both features using at the same time (not possible)
Acccent need the style part of the keyboard ( this is set off when the unison is used )

That's my quick look now on it derived from the two videos

Can i use a the yamaha expression pedal(FC7=footcontroller)) to switch on/off the unison function, maybe ?
I am afraid that i must buy a footcontroller  :)

texzen

Not sure about what kind of foot pedal you can use for the unison feature, but i would think you would need a controller that is sending an on/off signal. Expression pedal would maybe not be right.
