For my SX900 instrument when saving in YEM
I can choose from the following options:
Pack Quick installation File pqi
Pack Quick installation File cgi
Pack installation File ppi
Pack installation File cpi
I don't know what the difference is between them,
and which one is worth choosing?

It looks a bit complicated but watch these few minutes of the video and I believe you will understand.

Thanks! I have been using the YEM program for a long time,
and I know the installation and user interface.
Unfortunately, I still don't know from the videos
what is the difference between the 4 save modes.
(pgi, cgi, ppi, cpi)

ckobu

It is not pGi but pQi.
PQI is a quick installation, the whole procedure is described in detail in this video.

I'm sorry, I wrote really badly (pqi).
Unfortunately, due to language difficulties,
I find it difficult to see the point,
what is the difference between the 4 formats.
In addition to speed, Quick installation
how much more useful than the others?
And what good is a cgi, cpi?

ckobu

ppi and cpi are the formats by which we do a complete installation of the Package. You can always use them because the Expansion memory is formatted first and then the Pack is installed.
ppi content consists of ppf files that are not protected
cpi content consists of one or more cpf files and they are protected for processing

pqi and cqi (quick)are formats for quick installation. They are an upgrade of the installed content in the Expansion memory. They are entered only after the ppi and cpi formats are installed.

CQI and PQI allow you to load a single pack to your keyboard without formatting and clearing the previous content. You must do a normal load first and then if you find another pack you wished you had loaded you can do this using the Quick install method. To do this you must keep the green ticks in the boxes you have already made a pack from in YEM and then add a tick to the one you want to add.

This is (bold text) only partially true.
CQI and PQI allow you to load a new state of what is in Expansion Memory (PPI and CPI). The upgrade may contain several new packages, it may only contain an update of individual packages. Likewise CQI and PQI can throw out some content that is currently installed.
CQI and PQI update all changes no matter how big they are (from one Voice, Style, Reg to several new Packages)
